diy anti-stress lotion - make it in under 5 minutes!
To help you survive and stay hydrated, I've put together a quick DIY recipe for a lotion that will not only keep your skin healthy, but helps relieve stress thanks to the beneficial properties of neroli and bergamot essential oils. Because time is precious during this time of the year, this is a really basic recipe intended to be whipped up quickly.
- half a cup of coconut oil, softened
- 3 drops of bergamot essential oil
- 5 drops of neroli essential oil
Because it's winter, coconut oil has the tendency to solidify in the cold. The hardest part of this DIY will be softening the oil so that it has the consistency of a lotion. Be sure to not turn your oil into a liquid. If you do, stick it in the fridge (or outside in the cold if you're in a place like Canada), for a few minutes to harden it a bit. Once you have the consistency you want, mix in your essential oils. Transfer to a portable container and you have a hydrating lotion that smells amazing and helps boost your mood!
