Hi. I'm Megan.

Within the short period of two-weeks, I uprooted my comfortable Vancouver life and moved to Toronto. Now you find me working in Public Relations for a non-profit supporting young entrepreneurs as I set my sights on building my own creative empire.

In A Sequoia is for those who own being the boss of their life. A source of inspiration for creating intention. Unapologetic vulnerability. Live #thesequoialife.

inspire their body

inspire their body

I almost feel this post requires a NSFW warning: but it totally is! It just sounds steamy and sensual. In reality, it is a list of five great gift ideas to inspire the body. Gifts that care for our skin, from our face to our toes.

karuna body care

Shameless plug alert. Of course I think Karuna should be under everyone's tree this year! With three incredibly powerful products to choose from (or you could get all three!), this line is sure to make your loved one's skin feel good. After all, it has been designed to heal and revitalize your body. They have also been crafted to compliment one another. Extra bonus, the line funds The Vibrant Lives Foundation so your gift will be giving twice.

Karuna is available online (or in several retail locations) and starts at $26 for the bath soak.

happy sprtiz

For the second year in a row, this line of handcrafted, 100% natural aromatherapy facial sprays for both men and women have made my gift guide! All of the materials used in the Happy Spritz line are from the best botanical, earth based ingredients available and are sustainably crafted in small batches. Personal favourites of mine include Good Morning Beautiful, Woodsy Lumberjack and Namaste Ninja!

Happy Spritz is available in several retail locations and online, starting at $25.

lavender clay mask from woodwinked & co.

So, due to my extreme lavender allergy (that's why you won't find any lavender in any Karuna products), I have not been able to personally try this product. But I know the two goal-driven people behind the company and have only heard good things from those who have used their products. I know the power lavender can have on your skin, and it's so versatile, that I really wanted to include this product this year.  If you do purchase it for your loved one, be sure to let me know how it is!

Woodwinked & Co's Lavender Clay Mask is available online for $38.

mask of magnaminty from lush cosmetics

Now a mask I do know well is Lush's Mask of Magnaminty. A versatile face mask, Mask of Magnaminty includes China clay and fresh peppermint to reach deep down to pull the debris from your pores. It gives you a delightfully tingly-clean sensation. It also exfoliates flaky or dry skin, calms redness and soothes all over.

Mask of Magnaminty is available in store or online starting at $13.95.

handcut soap stones by pelle

I am a new addict to these soaps by Pelle! First, they are beautiful. Second, they smell amazing. I currently have the "unscented" crystal, but I swear I get a faint wiff of rose with each use. I manage to find mine at The Cross in Yaletown but they really are all over. Check your local gift and home stores to see if they cary them. I even managed to score mine for $4 - what a perfect stocking stuffer!

Four down, one to go! What have you thought of this year's gift guide so far? Let me know in the comments below!
