Hi. I'm Megan.

Within the short period of two-weeks, I uprooted my comfortable Vancouver life and moved to Toronto. Now you find me working in Public Relations for a non-profit supporting young entrepreneurs as I set my sights on building my own creative empire.

In A Sequoia is for those who own being the boss of their life. A source of inspiration for creating intention. Unapologetic vulnerability. Live #thesequoialife.

four mesmorizing dances that you'll never forget

four mesmorizing dances that you'll never forget

These days I've been enjoying the sweet time between graduation from university and finding full-time employment. It's allowed me to find clarity on what I want out of life, plan some really exciting things (including a PechaKucha presentation!) and discover new joys.

Today, I want to share one of these joys with you.

I've always loved music and admired dance. Wish I could dance but as I quickly learned in a Mexican salsa club late one Thursday night, I have two left feet. Especially when tequila is added to that mix. That hasn't stopped me from admiring the artistry and emotion that goes into a good dance with some haunting music. And thanks to the wormhole that is YouTube, I have become infatuated with a few particular dances. I hope you find them as hypnotic and meaningful as I have.

sergei polunin to 'take me to church' from hozier

I think I just fell in love with ballet.

maddie ziegler + shia labeouf to 'elastic heart' from sia

Having been equal parts impressed, moved and creeped out by Maddie Ziegler in Sia's Chandelier, I was happy to learn that video was the first of a trilogy. It's Shia LaBeouf's performance in 'Elastic Heart' that surprises me most of all, as I honestly had no idea he had this in him.

blink acro to 'crave you' from Flight Facilities, featuring Giselle

This is an older one but still always manages to impress me. To hand-to-hand aerial artists. Incredible talent.

courtney + mark to 'garden' from mirah

I've watched one season of So You Think You Can Dance in my life, and I'm so happy this routine was a part of it. Because it oozes creep and sex in a perfect way. And I keep finding myself going back to it.

Have you found a dance routine that's moved you in anyway? I want to see it! Share in the comments below.
