Your life is crazy and hectic. You've got a lot on the go and you're a rockstar at it all. But sometimes you're having trouble fitting in time for you. Creating space to balance yourself slides lower and lower down the list of priorities. Besides, with so much on your plate, meditation is kind of a no-go. You can't possibly calm your mind down for two seconds let alone any longer.
This is the mediation trick for you. It's simple, it doesn't require a lot of time and you can do it anywhere. Sneak it in at work between tasks, sitting on the bus to meet with friends or waiting in the line up at the grocery store.
All you need is a little knowledge of your seven chakras. The chakras are the energy centers in our body in which energy flows through, representing key aspects of our lives. It is believed that energy can become blocked in its attempt to flow through the chakras. When this happens, it can cause illness and other troubles, making it very important to keep the energy flowing.
This meditation works to open the chakras with breath and intention. Start with your root chakra, located at the base of your spine near the tailbone. Take a deep, slow breath through the nose and into that area of your body, focusing on filling the space with clean, good air and releasing the old air. Repeat two or three times until you feel satisfied this chakra has been opened. You should feel lighter and more relaxed near your tailbone. Then move up to your sacral chakra. Repeat for all seven chakras, working with your breath to remove any blockages and find energy balance and flow.
Once completed, continue your day having realigned your energy, feeling centered.
