Megan te Boekhorst, Toronto

Hi. I'm Megan.

I brought my West Coast soul to the city of Toronto in order to build the creative empire of my dreams. Never one to take the traditional route, I've lived life on my own terms since 1991. Currently working in Public Relations while rocking the side hustle lifestyle that brings me unstoppable passion.

In A Sequoia is for those who own being a bad ass, vulnerable bitch. A source of inspiration for creating intention. Be unapologetically true to yourself. Live #thesequoialife.

Raw honesty here: I'm trying something new, and I'm a little scared of it. But that's why I'm going to do it.

I'm going to start blogging about fashion. I think plus-sized fashion is an interesting area to explore, especially with the perspective of someone with an ED. But it's going to mean I'll be posting more photos of myself. Plus, I don't know much about fashion. And that's why I'm uncomfortable about the idea.

So be patient with me as I figure this new area of the blog out. I know I need to figure out the art of posing along with the art of putting together an outfit. It will be an experience for sure.

As you know, I took a trip to Osoyoos for some good wine and some R&R. I was looking for fun, flattering and comfortable clothes to lounge in the suite with and also travel from winery to winery. I love this Aztec poncho from Forever 21 Plus. It's comfortable and flowy - two of my favourite clothing features.

A big win for me while in Osoyoos was picking up a simple moonstone ring. I had been hunting for the perfect cut for two years now, and I stumbled upon it in this random shop on Main Street. Very fitting as the moonstone is known as the traveler's stone. It also acts as a support stone and helps the user explore emotions. It will be hard to take this ring off my finger.
