Megan te Boekhorst, Toronto

Hi. I'm Megan.

I brought my West Coast soul to the city of Toronto in order to build the creative empire of my dreams. Never one to take the traditional route, I've lived life on my own terms since 1991. Currently working in Public Relations while rocking the side hustle lifestyle that brings me unstoppable passion.

In A Sequoia is for those who own being a bad ass, vulnerable bitch. A source of inspiration for creating intention. Be unapologetically true to yourself. Live #thesequoialife.

behind the picture perfect

behind the picture perfect

Today is the summer solstice, which means it is the night of my annual summer solstice dinner party. I can't wait to share the details of this year's event (and photos) with you next week! But as I prepare for it now, I threw together something fun and sweet for you today.

I am working on an exciting new project I think many of you will love to be released in the coming weeks. It's educational, it's video based and it has some of my best insights as a full-time PR girl. It is serious content gold that I cannot wait to tell you about (and p.s. subscribers will hear all about it first and foremost!)

However, not all is gold in the process of creating video content. And I make a lot of strange faces when you get me in front of a camera. Though my Instagram selfies always look sweet and lovely, nine times out of ten I can't help but make a ridiculous face when I'm standing in front of the camera. This is especially true when the video function is on and recording.

I thought it would be fun to share with you the montage of the ridiculous and insane looks I pull when I get tongue tied on camera. Because life isn't always picture perfect, and I'm certainly not on point 100% of the time. It's also given me the PERFECT opportunity to share a stupid photo I couldn't help but take at Diner en Blanc above! I've just been waiting for the perfect time to share it.

Enjoy a giggle below and subscribe to In A Sequoia to be the first to know when the real reason behind this video is launched.
