i can't wait to share with you anymore
Remodelling, rebranding, redesigning; it's tough but necessary sometimes. Big decisions have to be made and beloved things have to be let go. That's exactly what's happened in my life this past month, and boy have things changed.
If you've visited In A Sequoia before, you can clearly see a change has been made. We've got a whole new look on the site and I really hope you love it as much as I do. If you're new here, welcome! I hope you like how we look.
We've also shifted the focus of our content, which is a change that might take some time for you to notice. With the decision to end my goal coaching services and the Karuna product line, you knew something different was happening. And the direction for these changes came with another big move in my life.
This past month, I have begun to offer full-service content creation and public relations packages for inspiring lifestyle brands. My goal is to work full-time as a freelancer within a few months. And I love what I do. Not only do I get to work as my own boss, I also get to collaborate with incredible women making their own entrepreneurial goals come true. It's truly inspiring.
That being said, despite the various fields we work in we all seem to have the same problem. They talk about balance, but we're so driven to see our businesses succeed that balance often takes the back-burner. We deserve better than this!
In A Sequoia is a space for creative boss babes to find balance. A source of inspiration for the time spent outside of our work lives.
I'll be sharing the best tips for us hustlers to find balance and create time in our lives for the other parts. This includes fashion, beauty, food, entertaining, mental health, our homes, and travelling. And I'll share stories behind the scenes of my freelance journey too.
but that's not all folks
As you know, Karuna funded The Vibrant Lives Foundation Scholarship (which was awarded for the first time this past month!). When I knew it was time to let go of the body care line, I really struggled with how I would supplement that income for Vibrant Lives. Non-profit funding is tough, and the foundation is too important to me to leave behind.
I also took a good look at what it was that made Karuna tough to give up. To be completely honest, manufacturing the line was a bit of a drag. Don't get me wrong, I loved my products. They were incredible and all natural skin care is still important to me. And I always loved both recipe making and the connection with mind, body, and soul when I am caring for myself with the products I made for myself.
The answer didn't come easy, but once it did it was obvious. Now I can't keep it a secret anymore.
i will be writing a book. my first book.
I am so excited, this has been a goal of mine for probably all of my life. At least since I learned what a book was.
Think cookbook, but for body care. Add in a touch of coffee table book as well. Put it all together and you have my yet-to-be-named collection.
I cannot wait to share the journey of creating this book with you, and you know I can't wait to release it.
I want to hear from you! This is a lot of change coming at you, and I want to know what you think of it all. Are you excited for the changes that have come to In A Sequoia? Will you be looking forward to a complete manual and recipe guide to natural body care? Sound off in the comments below!
