Hi. I'm Megan.

Within the short period of two-weeks, I uprooted my comfortable Vancouver life and moved to Toronto. Now you find me working in Public Relations for a non-profit supporting young entrepreneurs as I set my sights on building my own creative empire.

In A Sequoia is for those who own being the boss of their life. A source of inspiration for creating intention. Unapologetic vulnerability. Live #thesequoialife.

It's that time of year again! But for me, this will be the strangest Christmas ever. I won't be going back to Vancouver for the holidays so I plan on spending Christmas night at the movies followed by wine at home. But that's not stopping me from holiday shopping and so for the third year I present the In A Sequoia Mindful Holiday Gift Guide!

The big move has influenced a lot on this guide. I'd love a JH x MA Best Friend Necklace to remind me of my BFF in Hong Kong and feel that love despite the distance. I still feel some stress of displacement that the Saje Natural Wellness Stress Relief spray certainly comes in handy for. And my skin could use the TLC of a Herbivore Brighten Pinapple + Gemstone mask when facing the bitter Toronto cold!

Then you have the items I have been eyeballing for myself for some time. Ever since I met part of the team at Blogpodium, I have coveted a pair of Poppy Barley boots. Madly coveted. In fact, their brand story was what began my interest in ethical fashion! Or there's my Minted obsession because nothing sets quite the relaxing tone like soothing art. I now have a giant, white wall I'm currently hunting down the perfect piece for, and there's not better place than the Minted marketplace!

But of course I included some tried-and-true favourites. I recently picked up How To Love Yourself (And Sometimes Other People) and so far it is one of the best books in the 'self-help' category I have read! Every night when I get home from work I am sure to light my Vancouver Candle Company candles (and am in need of even more scents!). The next thing I do is toss on my Karma & Soul sweater. Finally there is anything and everything from Mala Collective, but this year I am checking out those unique Handwoven Gift Boxes - they'd make a stunning addition to any home for sure!

Do any of these make your wish list this year? Let me know what you're asking Santa for in the comments!
