vancouver shopping list
Before I left Vancouver (and I swear this is my last "big move" blog post!) I took the time to pick up a few locally-made products I had to have with me. It was a tough list to curate (especially with such little packing space!) but here are my Vancouver-made must buys!
basically any Vancouver-made apothecary
I had a hard time deciding what line of body care/beauty I wanted to pack. I went with Plenty + Spare mainly because I hadn't tried their stuff before, and I was visiting a new-to-New-West shop I wanted to support before leaving. Having now used both the clay mask and the charcoal soap, I am still confident in saying it's hard to do wrong when you pick up any apothecary products produced in Vancity! The Activated Charcoal soap is especially amazing. Also, check out The Good Omen shop next time you're in New Westminster!
I am going to miss treating myself to a Joyride mani every now and then, my new spot in Toronto just isn't the same. So I had to grab their in-house oil for some at home TLC. Jenis, my usual Joyride technician, would agree I need it too - my nails are usually an embarrassing mess! Light and fast-absorbing, it's perfect for when I'm in a rush or just before date night!
element botanicals lady magic - new moon
A friend had recommended the Element Botanicals line of sprays to me a while back. Technically made in Sorrento, BC, the Lady Magic line is all related to the moon and its many attributes. When I noticed it at Delish General Store on my last day in town, I knew I had to grab some. And thank goodness I did, I am enchanted!
woodlot candle and palo santo
I am insanely happy because I found a Woodlot stockist a block down from me (and she's a Futurpreneur too!). But not having known I would be so close to this beloved Vancouver brand of mine, I made sure to grab some Palo Santo and pack my Flora candle to ensure my Toronto apartment felt like home the second I arrived.
